Az. Agricola - Agriturismo "La Badiola" - "Caio Alto"

In Tuscany,
the major masterpiece is Nature
and its chromatic play given by
the heterogeneous cultivation of its fields.

This farm has been in our family for year, and our grandfathers and great grandfathers would come in ther horse-drawn gig to visit the land, and comment on theexcellent work done by the farmers in the fields.
Today it still stands in all its glory, thanks to the passion of the owner Paola Giannotti, a biologist (with a degree from the University of Florence) and her son Alessandro, perito agrario (diploma of the honoured Angelo Vegni Institute - Capezzine - Cortona, AR), who has brought new vitality to the farm.

The farm cultivates cereals, vines, olives and oleaginous plants, as well as keeping some woodland and mixed meadows where our bees can gather the nectar from thousands of flowers, all of which is cultivated in accordance with the strictest principles of Organic Farming certified by the ICEA and Protected Designation of Origin bodies.
Our so-called secondary rural products are very popular, and we have a small plantation in a strip of woodland along the edge of the farm, where for example we grow Dogrose for the rose hip fruits which are the rich in Vitamin C and a traditional rural cure for the cold, or Dandelion with its sweet yellow flowers, and the sweet-smelling Spanish broom lavander.
